blog trog

well, i'm feeling like a trogldyte. i want to but i just can't keep up. now that i've created a blog list, i'll do my best to play but what i really want to do is find out how to make these 53 posts go away. remember, i'm the person with more than 4000 items in my in-box, three cartons of unread New Yorkers, and all my college papers. o.k. i lied about the college papers. there's too much to read, and not enough time.

timewasters and a question

A couple of folks in my life are on my list because they have passed along a couple of games that I find addictive - it's only fair that I try to get you hooked as well. One is Text Twist, a word building game that will improve your Scrabble game (oh well, that's what I'm telling myself) Try it at http://get.games.yahoo.com/proddesc?gamekey=texttwist play the free web game, why spend $$$ when you don't have too. The other is http://freerice.com/index.php Sponsors of the site are donating 20 grains of rice to help combat world hunger while you test your vocabulary.

and now for the question...I'm joining my college roomies in San Diego next month. Any recommendation about where to stay and where to eat?

Why Am I Doing This?

Because I'm curious about how it's done and I need to experience things in order to see how they might be useful in my work/teaching/reaching students. Maybe it has application for my advisees? Maybe blogging will end up as a tool just for my appreciation: I tried playing the piano and clarinet, too, and while I no longer touch either one, I still appreciate how it's done, marvel at the speed with which artist's fingers move, and the bringing together of skill and art.
